I went to Gujarat at my friend Carol's request. Her ex-boyfriend, TJ, is from this Indian state. I went to the city of Ahmedabad for one day. It was happening. See the busy street.

I snacked at the sweet stands constantly. See the bowl on the left. It has gulab jumun (dry milk balls in sweet syrup) or something like that.

The cows a bit early for her laundry pickup, and not patient either. The shop's hours were 9 AM to 7 PM, and the cow arrived relatively early, at 10 AM. She forgot that she was on "Indian time," meaning 9 AM could mean 11 AM, 2 PM, or just about anything.

The woman is practicing a balancing act with her free time while she waits for the shop attendant.

In a small swept of pile of garbage on the street was a dead pigeon. This was right be a tower that was made, and is still used to feed pigeons. Maybe this one was poisoned, or just over-ate.

Cute kid.

The Brahmins, people of the Brahmin caste, (and probably many others too) use water from wells, I think because it is considered pure. This wells are all over the place. The Brahmins also eat from leaves, not dishes. In the west we sometimes use paper plates. They have disposable plates too, made of leaves.

A shop on the street where you can have whatever you need typed.
