Here is my first view of the Taj Mahal (from inside the temple complex).

I inched closer for this shot.

It's not paint on the marble, it's "inlay," which I heard about over and over and over again. Stones, sometimes precious or semi-precious, made to size and then the spaces made in the marble. This is a doorway, archway, or something! The black inlay, I think, is ancient Arabic writing.

Reflection of the Taj Mahal in the pool in front.

Sunset.

Agra, the city the Taj Mahal is located in, is known to be quite touristy, though I didn't find it particularly so, besides right by the temple. The fact that it is touristy has an upside. This restaurant served the best food in India. See their sign.

Even better, the best food in the world is served in Agra! And practically any kind of food. Further, while eating the world's best food, I can enjoy the best view of the world's most famous temple.

I was really there, as you can see from this picture that I ruined.
