Drove smooth deployment and adoption of sales-related
applications in the Greater China region. Served as an interface both for
global IT as well as local business users and business representatives,
helping facilitate communications between these different teams and
persons. Represented local regional issues to global IT and solution
developers, and helped with knowledge-transfer to business users. Key
focus was CRM applications, including Siebel and related reporting tools
and interfaces. Global Project Manager for a key CRM-related project,
focusing on improving user's experience with CRM. This involved
coordinating activities worldwide.

As a Microsoft internal-IT employee, I was a beta-tester,
early-adopter, and heavy user of many Microsoft technologies including
Windows Vista, SharePoint, and Office 2007.

Note: This was an opportunity to work in the field of IT in
China while leveraging my bi-lingual language abilities. However, this
position was less technical than what I am looking for now, as I am
looking to return to infrastructure-related IT.

Led pilot implementation for Exxon-Mobil's Windows NT to Windows 2000
domain migration project, and played key role in the migration design. The
environment consisted of over 150,000 users and the pilot spanned
international boundaries, including Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand,
requiring efficient coordination of network administrators, managers,
security personal and business units across the world from a central
office in Malaysia.

Presented at Microsoft technical seminars to audiences of up to 150,
including various presentations abroad. Was selected to be videotaped for
a distribution DVD that was given to thousands of Microsoft customers.

Developed relationships with Aelita's largest customers, including Delta,
Pepsi, and the US Government.

Designed and implemented domain and e-mail migrations for large customers.

In first year as a sales engineer, reached sales goal and made the
company's President's Club.

Designed Windows NT migration process for 5000 users as part of a
time-critical project related to the sale of a division of the company and
the separation of computer systems. The project was completed in three
months, on schedule, with no major impacts, and involved training and
managing three people to assist in the implementation.

Developed unique process, using network monitoring software and hardware,
to identify the percentage of users that were not running Windows NT-based
logon scripts, which quantified a problem affecting the 40,000-user
network and confirming a software bug on Windows NT server.

Implemented database and set of reports on Year-2000 application
certification, and received recognition for this work.

Designed SQL database and associated Visual Basic application to keep
inventory of NT servers.
